Days = Years = Wisdom:
Don’t be afraid of Wisdom
I have determined that along the way, I sometimes become ashamed or embarrassed about baseless facts, such as getting older or hearing what’s important to others and then allowing myself to fit into a box that doesn’t belong to me. I haven’t become the age of fifty-five without the many stumbles that I call wisdom. Most often these stumbles come from trying to be something I am not or cannot be and not following my intuition.
When I sit with someone and hear their story, I’ve found myself seeking to understand why their goals are so important to them and what is causing their roadblock(s). The “why” is such an important part of my work, because without it I cannot begin to find successful solutions. When I brainstorm solutions for my clients, sometimes these solutions come from something I have read or have researched previously on another’s behalf. But often it comes from my professional experiences with a strong layer of intuition.
People hire me for a variety of reasons, but primarily it is to achieve their goals in the most efficient manner with the least amount of pain and stress. We each get to choose who we hire and for what reasons; however, the main reason should always be wisdom. You should choose an advisor (or any professional for that matter) because they can bring wisdom to the table. Wisdom to help you avoid making the same mistakes as others and in my practice; wisdom to listen long enough to understand the “why.”
I am a proud 55-year-old who is becoming wiser every day.
Live on and live well!
